Hydro-Acupuncture

Hydro-Acupuncture

Hydro-acupuncture, also known as point injection, is a recently developed therapy, in which acupoint or relevant location is treated by drug injection. Exerting a stimulative and pharmaceutical effect on the point via puncture and drug injection, this therapy can improve physiological functions, correct the pathological state, and raise the therapeutic effects.

In general, lml, 2ml, 5ml, 10mi, 20mlsyringes and No. 5, No. 6 ordinary syringe needles are adopted, or select No. 5 needle used by the dentists,or No. 9 long needle used in block therapy.

Based on the differentiation of syndromes, select 2-4 relevant points or Ashipoints ,or reactionary masses as location for injection" Y" Q9 {, a! W6 W
② Dosage of Injection# Q$ ?+ M; v6 g* P! Y
The dosage in hydro-acupuncture depends on the location of injection, theproperty and density of the injection. For adults, with the herbal extract injection and vitamin injection, each point is injected 1-2ml in one session. With antibiotics, 1/10 to 1/2 of the original dosage is injected. With 5-10% glucose, in each session 5-20 ml is injected. The locations on the four limbs, waist and buttocks where the muscles are abundant can be injected with a little more dosage  and those points at the head, face and auricle where the muscles are thin may be injected with 0. 1-0. 5 ml per point.2 ^8 C' ^9 L7 _1 o8 w3 W
③ Manipulation  t' G; r9 @6 \) e
In the treatment, select the right syringe and syringe needle, draw the injection into the syringe, disinfect the locations to be injected on the patient who is on an appropriate position for the injection. Puncture rapidly the syringe held with the right hand into the point (or the reactionary mass), then the needle is gradually inserted deeper, after the needling sensation occurs, withdraw the handle of the syringe a little bit to see whether blood is withdrawn into to the tube or not, if not inject the solution into the point. In general, moderate speed of injection is adopted. For acute and excessive heat syndromes, rapid injection is indicated and for chronic and deficient syndromes ,the injection should be slow. In case a big amount of solution is injected, it should be injected into the point in a few steps, from the deep to the superficial,or the syringe needle can be inserted in a few directions from the punctured point to inject the solution

①Great attention should be paid to the pharmacological property, action, dosage, quality, validity, contraindications, side effects and allergic reaction of the solution to be used. The solution may cause allergic reaction(e, g. Penicillin, etc)to some patients, skin test should be made before the treatment, the solution with relatively strong side effects should be used very cautiously.
7 u* _1 I, R+ i) C9 C/ S8 q②The solution in general should not be injected into the joint cavity, the spinal cord cavity and the vessels, the Misinjection of the solution into the joint cavity may lead to redness and swelling of the joint or fever and pain. Misinjection into the spinal cord cavity may impair the spinal cord.0 p. g  o" |* m  U
③Deep injection is not allowed on the points at the neck, chest and back, and the dosage should be carefully controlled. In case the points are near the nerve trunk ,avoid puncturing the nerve trunk. If the patient has electric shock sensation, withdraw the syringe a little bit to avoid injury the nerve, then inject the solution.
